This is on my "surprise" birthday party last year. I put surprise in quotes because my mom spilled the beans two days before the party, so it wasn't a surprise anymore. That goober in the corner helping me blow out my candles is my mom. She's my my oldest friend. I don't say oldest because she just had her birthday (you're welcome, mom) but because she's been my friend the longest. She always makes me laugh when no one else can. Sometimes when we're both having bad days we just talk on the phone and laugh and it makes both of us feel better.
